On Wednesday, July 21, 2021, The Human Rights Campaign in Wisconsin invited a group of Wisconsin Faith Leaders to come together and discuss why people of faith can and should support the Equality Act.

Our Senior Minister, Reverend Tory Topjian, along with Rabbi Jonathan Biatch (Temple Beth El, Madison), Reverend Libby Howe (La Cross Area Synod ELCA), Pastor Grace Imathiu (First United Methodist Church, Evanston, IL), and Reverend Kerri Parker, Executive Director, Wisconsin Council of Churches came together with HRC’s Religion and Faith Program Director, Michael Vazquez, to discuss these key topics.

The Equality Act provides consistent and explicit anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people across key areas of life, including employment, housing, credit, education, public spaces and services, federally funded programs, and jury service.
